AHL featured on Gretzky NHL ’06 for PS2

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League is proud to announce that as part of its three-year partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc., the AHL is featured prominently in the recently-released Gretzky™ NHL® ’06.

Gretzky NHL ’06 is the first video game that allows users to play with American Hockey League players and teams. Thanks to exclusive licensing with the AHL, Gretzky NHL ’06 allows users to bring the stars of tomorrow to the ice today, with a deep and detailed franchise mode featuring American Hockey League team and player names, as well as the ability to play games using any of the league’s 27 teams.

Gretzky NHL ’06 for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system is available in stores now. The independent Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rates Gretzky NHL ’06 “E 10+” for “Everyone 10 and older.”
