Tyler Bertuzzi scored twice and Grand Rapids moved to within a win of advancing to the second round with a 5-2 victory over Milwaukee at Van Andel Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Griffins will take a 2-0 series lead into Milwaukee for Game 3 on Wednesday.
Eric Tangradi and Matthew Ford each notched a goal and an assist and Mitch Callahan recorded two assists for Grand Rapids, which handed the Admirals their 10th consecutive playoff loss, dating back to 2013. Jared Coreau (2-0) made 21 saves to pick up the win.
Vladislav Kamenev and Frederick Gaudreau scored for Milwaukee, while Marek Mazanec (0-2) stopped 23 of 26 shots.
