Admirals clinch berth in Calder Cup Playoffs

The Milwaukee Admirals were idle on Tuesday night, but they still clinched a spot in the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs thanks to Cleveland’s 2-1 overtime loss in Iowa.

The Admirals are heading to the postseason for the 14th time in the last 15 years. The five-time division champions won the Calder Cup in 2004 and returned to the Finals in 2006, but will be looking for their first series victory since 2011.

Milwaukee is the third team from the Central Division to secure a playoff spot, and the fifth from the Western Conference.
