An Atlantic Division battle pits third-place Worcester (26-20-0-2, 54 points) at fourth-place Portland (25-19-1-2, 53 points) on Wednesday… It’s the second game of a seven-game road swing for the Sharks, who are coming off a 2-1 loss in Providence on Sunday… Captain Ryan Vesce brings a 14-game scoring streak (7-14-21) into Wednesday’s action, the longest active run in the AHL… Vesce shows nine points (3-6-9) in six games against Portland this season, while Lukas Kaspar has eight points in the season series (2-6-8)… Worcester rookie Steven Zalewski has a point in seven straight games (4-4-8), including a goal in three straight… Portland first-year pro Tim Kennedy shows a four-game assist run (0-4-4), but is still without a goal since Nov. 19… Ex-Shark Mathieu Darche has racked up six points (2-4-6) in six games for Portland against his former team this year… The Pirates are 9-1-2-1 all-time against the Sharks at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
