All-around effort lifts Griffins in Game 3

Filip Zadina registered his first three career playoff points to lead Grand Rapids to a 6-2 victory over Chicago in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday night at Van Andel Arena.

Owning a 2-1 series lead, the Griffins can close out the Central Division champions with another victory in Game 4 on Wednesday.

Zadina tallied two goals and an assist, while Matt Puempel and Martin Frk each added a goal and two assists for the Griffins.

Wade Megan, who played two seasons with the Wolves from 2016-18, scored a pair of goals 3:07 apart midway through the second period to break a 2-2 tie.

Harri Sateri (2-1) made 35 saves for the Griffins.

T.J. Tynan and Tye McGinn scored for Chicago.

The teams combined for 144 minutes in penalties in Game 3.
