Evan Bouchard recorded three points in his AHL debut and Bakersfield rolled to a 5-2 win over Colorado in Game 3 of their Pacific Division semifinal series on Tuesday night.
The Condors will take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Saturday.
Bouchard, the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, joined the Condors after his junior season in London (OHL) ended last week. The 19-year-old defenseman scored once and added two assists in Tuesday’s win.
Evan Polei recorded two goals and an assist, Ryan Stanton notched a goal and an assist and Luke Esposito and Keegan Lowe chipped in with two assists each.
Shane Starrett (2-1) finished with 16 saves for the Condors, who outshot the Eagles 17-1 in the first period and 41-18 for the game.
Anton Lindholm and Sheldon Dries scored for Colorado.
