The Arizona Coyotes, parent club of the AHL’s Portland Pirates, have acquired defenseman Klas Dahlbeck and a first-round draft choice in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for center Antoine Vermette.
The 23-year-old Dahlbeck has recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points in 49 AHL games with Rockford this season. In 194 games with the IceHogs over three AHL seasons, Dahlbeck has totaled 15 goals, 36 assists and a plus-34 rating.
Originally a third-round choice by the Blackhawks in the 2011 Entry Draft, Dahlbeck made his NHL debut earlier this season and registered one goal in four games with Chicago.
