Griffins acquire Camper from Tucson

The Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday acquired center Carter Camper from the Tucson Roadrunners for future considerations.

Camper established career highs with 45 assists and 61 points while appearing in 68 regular-season games between Cleveland and Tucson last season. He also recorded one goal and seven assists for eight points in nine postseason games with the Roadrunners.

Entering his eighth pro season in 2018-19, Camper has tallied 87 goals and 243 assists for 330 points in 443 regular-season AHL games with Tucson, Cleveland, Albany, Hershey, Binghamton, Springfield and Providence. He has added 18 goals and 27 assists for 45 points in 51 playoff games, reaching the Calder Cup Finals with Hershey in 2016.

A native of Rocky River, Ohio, Camper has one goal in three career NHL appearances, coming with the Boston Bruins in 2011-12.
