The Florida Panthers announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Joel Lowry and goaltender Philippe Desrosiers on one-year, two-way contracts.
Lowry, 27, spent the 2018-19 season with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds, where he recorded 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 55 games.
The fifth-year pro and Calgary, Alta., native has skated in 148 career AHL contests with Springfield, Utica and Ontario, collecting 19 goals and 35 assists for 54 points.
Lowry was originally selected by Los Angeles in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Draft.
Desrosiers, 23, made 23 appearances with the AHL’s Texas Stars in 2018-19, going 8-11-1 with a 2.54 goals-against average, a .910 save percentage and one shutout.
In 43 career appearances over parts of four AHL seasons, Desrosiers has a record of 17-18-1 with a 2.59 GAA, a .909 save percentage and two shutouts.
Desrosiers was a second-round pick by Dallas in the 2013 NHL Draft.
