Panthers acquire Priskie, Luostarinen

The Florida Panthers have acquired forwards Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark and Eetu Luostarinen and defenseman Chase Priskie from the Carolina Hurricanes for forward Vincent Trocheck.

Priskie, 23, has skated in 52 games for the Charlotte Checkers this season and ranks fourth among AHL rookie defensemen in scoring with 31 points (six goals, 25 assists).

The native of Pembroke Pines, Fla., signed with Carolina on Aug. 17, 2019, after four seasons at Quinnipiac University.

Luostarinen, 21, has eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 44 games with Charlotte this season. Luostarinen made his NHL debut earlier this year and recorded one assist in eight games with the Hurricanes.

The Finnish-born Luostarinen was a second-round pick by Carolina in the 2017 NHL Draft.
