The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to terms on one-year, two-way contracts with defenseman Madison Bowey and forwards Anthony Richard and Mitchell Stephens.
Bowey skated in 53 games with the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks in 2021-22, recording eight goals and 20 assists for 28 points. He also appeared in two NHL games with Vancouver.
Over seven pro seasons, Bowey has appeared in 169 AHL games with Abbotsford, Rockford, Grand Rapids and Hershey, totaling 17 goals and 63 assists for 80 points. He also has two goals and eight assists in 33 postseason games, including a trip to the Calder Cup Finals with Hershey in 2016.
Bowey was a second-round pick by Washington in the 2013 NHL Draft, and has five goals and 35 assists for 40 points in 158 career NHL games with Washington, Detroit, Chicago and Vancouver.
Richard played in 71 AHL games between Milwaukee and Syracuse in 2021-22, totaling 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points. He also notched four goals and two assists in five playoff games with the Crunch.
Richard has skated in 362 career AHL games over six pro seasons with Milwaukee, Syracuse and Chicago, totaling 89 goals and 89 assists for 178 points.
A fourth-round selection by Nashville in the 2015 NHL Draft, Richard has appeared in two career NHL games with the Predators.
Stephens played 27 games with the Detroit Red Wings in 2021-22, recording six assists.
In 135 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Stephens has recorded 37 goals and 47 assists for 84 points. He has added one goal and six assists in 14 postseason contests, reaching the Calder Cup Finals with Syracuse in 2017.
Stephens was a second-round pick by Tampa Bay in the 2015 NHL Draft, and has three goals and 10 assists in 72 career NHL games. He won a Stanley Cup championship with the Lightning in 2020.
