Ducks acquire Kloos from Wild

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired center Justin Kloos from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for left wing Pontus Aberg.

Kloos, 25, leads the AHL’s Iowa Wild in scoring this season with 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 34 games. The third-year pro from Lakeville, Minn., has totaled 32 goals and 49 assists for 81 points in 119 career AHL games, all with Iowa.

Signed as a free agent by Minnesota on Mar. 29, 2017, Kloos has skated in one NHL game, making his debut with the Wild on Oct. 24, 2017, vs. Vancouver.

Aberg, 25, has collected 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points in 37 NHL games with Anaheim this season. He also has one goal and one assist in two contests with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls.

A second-round selection by Nashville in the 2012 NHL Draft, Aberg has registered 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 105 NHL games with Anaheim, Edmonton and Nashville. He also has 77 goals and 57 assists for 134 points in 205 AHL games with San Diego and Milwaukee, including a 31-goal season in 2016-17.
