Fedun inks two-year extension with Dallas

The Dallas Stars have signed defenseman Taylor Fedun to a two-year, two-way contract.

Fedun was acquired by Dallas from Buffalo on Nov. 10, 2018, and tallied four goals and seven assists in 54 NHL games with the Stars last season. He also notched one goal and seven assists for eight points in 12 AHL contests between Rochester and Texas.

Fedun also made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in 2019, appearing in seven postseason contests.

Over seven pro seasons, Fedun has totaled 41 goals and 138 assists for 179 points in 349 regular-season games with Texas, Rochester, Utica, Worcester and Oklahoma City. He has also collected six goals and 20 assists in 100 NHL games with Dallas, Buffalo, Vancouver, San Jose and Edmonton.

In 2018-19, Fedun was selected as Dallas’s nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, which is awarded annually to the National Hockey League player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.
