It was the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights’ sixth straight win, keeping them two points behind first-place Chicago in the West.
Carsen Germyn provided the other Omaha goal, his second straight game-winner.
Netminder Curtis McElhinney stopped 30 of 31 shots in the contest for his 18th win.
Brandon Smith scored the lone goal for Rochester in the loss.
ALBANY 4, PHILADELPHIA 1
Cody McLeod netted the first hat trick of his pro career, scoring the first three goals of the night as the Albany River Rats downed the Philadelphia Phantoms, 4-1, at the Times Union Center.
Keith Aucoin and Shane Willis recorded two assists each on the night and, along with McLeod, posted a plus-3 rating for the River Rats, who have won their last two home games.
Justin Peters stopped 24 of 25 shots to earn his seventh win of the season for Albany.
Defenseman John Slaney recorded the lone goal in the loss for the Phantoms, giving him a standing total of 499 points in his AHL career.
HAMILTON 5, GRAND RAPIDS 1
Francis Lemieux tallied a pair of goals as the Bulldogs defeated Grand Rapids, 5-1, at Copps Coliseum.
It was Hamilton’s second win in as many nights against the Griffins.
Duncan Milroy and Mikhail Grabovski scored a goal and an assist each and netminder Yann Danis stopped 31 of 32 shots for Hamilton, which outscored the Griffins 7-2 in the two wins.
Jeff Campbell tallied the lone goal for Grand Rapids in the loss.
BRIDGEPORT 4, HERSHEY 3 (SO)
After falling behind to Hershey 3-1, the Sound Tigers rallied to force a shootout and eventually defeating the Bears by a score of 4-3.
Eric Boguniecki scored a goal and an assist as Wade Dubielewicz made a team-record 51 saves to lead Bridgeport to its second straight shootout win.
Robert Nilsson and Brandon Nolan also provided goals as the Sound Tigers won their third straight road game.
2007 AHL All-Star Tomas Fleischmann scored two goals in the loss for Hershey.
HARTFORD 3, LOWELL 2
The Wolf Pack scored two unanswered goals in the third period to win their eighth consecutive game on the road, 3-2 win Lowell at the Tsongas Arena.
Dwight Helminen scored a goal and an assist while teammates Francis Lessard and Ryan Callahan provided the other tallies for Hartford, which sits in second place in the Atlantic Division.
Stephen Valiquette stopped 22 of 24 shots to improve his record to 14-10-0.
Stephen Gionta and defenseman Dan McGillis scored for the Devils in the loss.
PROVIDENCE 6, PORTLAND 4
Pascal Pelletier and Kris Versteeg helped the P-Bruins win their fifth straight game on the road by recording a goal and two assists each as Providence downed division rival Portland by a score of 6-4.
Jordan Sigalet made 39 saves to win his fourth game in his last five starts for Providence, which jumped over Portland to take sole possession of third place in the Atlantic Division.
David Krejci and T.J. Trevelyan also provided a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who are 6-0-0-1 in their last seven games.
Matt Keith led the Pirates, tallying three points (1g, 2a) in the loss.
SPRINGFIELD 2, WORCESTER 1
After a scoreless first and second period, Blair Jones and Eric Healey registered goals to give Springfield a 2-1 win over the visiting Worcester Sharks.
Jonathan Boutin stopped 23 of 24 shots in the contest for his first win since Dec. 30 and giving the Falcons their second win in as many nights.
Josh Prudden scored the lone goal for Worcester and Thomas Greiss made 28 saves in a losing effort for the Sharks.
WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON 5, NORFOLK 4
Falling behind 3-1 early in the second period, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins tallied four of the last five goals on the night to earn a 5-4 win over the East Division and league-leading Norfolk Admirals.
Five different players registered a goal and an assist and Tyler Kennedy recorded a pair of assists and a plus-3 rating for the Pens, who have won three consecutive games at home.
Andrew Penner made 23 saves for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to earn his eighth conecutive win.
Brandon Bochenski led the way for Norfolk, scoring a goal and an assist in the loss.
BINGHAMTON 5, SYRACUSE 4 (SO)
The Senators rallied from a 4-1 deficit to earn a 5-4 shootout win on the road against the Syracuse Crunch.
Josh Hennessy scored a pair of goals and Ryan Vesce tallied a goal and an assist in regulation and a goal in the shootout helping Binghamton end its six-game winless skid.
Jeff Glass made 40 saves on the night and stopped five of seven players in the shootout, including the last five Crunch skaters, to earn the victory for the Senators, who went 2-for-4 on the power play.
Mark Hartigan, Geoff Platt, Joe Motzko and Alexandre Picard all tallied in the loss for Syracuse.
MILWAUKEE 3, TORONTO 2
Jason Guerriero scored the game-winning goal with 35 seconds left in regulation to give the Milwaukee Admirals a 3-2 win over the visiting Toronto Marlies.
Rich Peverley also scored a goal and an assist and netminder Karl Goehring stopped 29 of 31 shots for the Admirals, who are 5-1-0-1 in their last seven games.
Milwaukee moved into a third-place tie in the West Division with Peoria at 21-15-3-4 and 49 points.
Robbie Earl and 2007 AHL All-Star selection Kris Newbury tallied for the Marlies in the loss.
PEORIA 5, IOWA 4
The Stars’ third period comeback attempt fell short as Yan Stastny tallied a pair of goals for the Rivermen, who downed Iowa by a score of 5-4 at Wells Fargo Arena.
Stastny also recorded a plus-4 rating on the night while teammate Jon DiSalvatore scored a goal and added two assists with a plus-3 rating for Peoria, which ended a three-game winless skid with the win.
Marek Schwarz won his 14th game of the year, stopping 30 shots for the Rivermen.
Janos Vas led the way for Iowa with two goals in the loss.
CHICAGO 7, SAN ANTONIO 2
Brett Sterling broke his goal-scoring drought in a big way, recording two goals and two assists as the Chicago Wolves tallied six unanswered goals to defeat San Antonio, 7-2.
Mark Popovic, Cory Larose and Darren Haydar each recorded a goal and an assist for the Wolves, who won their second game in as many nights, outscoring opponents 13-3.
Michael Garnett earned his second straight win by making 27 saves on the night.
