Rocket sign Laval native Grenier

The Laval Rocket announced today that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year AHL contract with forward Alexandre Grenier.

A Laval native, Grenier was an AHL All-Star last season, recording 20 goals and 24 assists in 72 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Entering his sixth pro season in 2018-19, Grenier has played 349 AHL games with Springfield, Utica and Chicago, notching 87 goals and 132 assists for 219 points. He has also tallied eight goals and 10 assists in 27 postseason games, and helped Utica reach the Calder Cup Finals in 2015.

The 26-year-old Grenier was a third-round draft pick by Vancouver in 2011 and has skated in nine career NHL games, all with the Canucks.
