Jets agree to terms with Comrie

The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with goaltender Eric Comrie on a one-year, two-way contract.

Comrie, 23, completed his third pro season with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose in 2017-18, setting career highs with a 2.58 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Comrie posted a record of 18-13-3 with two shutouts in 34 appearances for the Moose.

Comrie also made three appearances with the Jets last season, and helped the Moose reach the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs with a .908 save percentage in nine postseason games.

A native of Edmonton, Alta., Comrie has a record of 52-67-16 in 136 career AHL games with Manitoba and St. John’s, with a 2.95 GAA, a .908 save percentage and six shutouts.

The Jets’ second-round selection in the 2013 NHL Draft, Comrie is also 2-2-0 in four career NHL contests.
