Charlotte and Providence square off in Game 4 tonight with the Checkers holding a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series… Andrew Poturalski (3-4-7) notched two goals and an assist in Wednesday’s 3-0 victory… Poturalski has recorded five consecutive multiple-point games going back to the regular season… Morgan Geekie (3-1-4) also scored for Charlotte in Game 3, and Alex Nedeljkovic (2-1, 2.33, .910) turned aside 20 shots for his second career playoff shutout… Zane McIntyre (0-2, 4.14, .855) made 25 saves for the P-Bruins in Game 3 on Wednesday, then served as Boston’s emergency backup at TD Garden last night… Paul Carey, who scored a career-high 27 goals in the regular season, leads the Bruins with 10 shots on goal in the series but is still looking for his first goal… Providence, which was blanked in a playoff game for the first time since May 22, 2013, is an impressive 29-20 all-time when facing elimination, including 18-10 on the road… Charlotte is 3-5 all-time with a chance to close out a Calder Cup Playoff series, and has never eliminated an opponent on home ice.

Milwaukee hosts Iowa in Game 4 tonight after staving off elimination 24 hours earlier… The Admirals ended a six-year drought and cut their series deficit in half with a 3-1 win in Game 3 last night, their first playoff win since Apr. 27, 2013, to end an AHL-record 13-game losing streak in postseason play… Milwaukee needed just 30 seconds to grab the lead in Game 3 on a goal by Colin Blackwell… Mathieu Olivier and Anthony Richard scored their first career playoff goals for the Admirals and Troy Grosenick finished the night with 21 saves… Yakov Trenin assisted on all three Milwaukee goals in Game 3… Kyle Rau picked up the Wild’s only goal, his third of the series… Iowa’s Andrew Hammond allowed three goals on 23 shots in Game 3 but still has a 1.35 GAA and a .953 save percentage in the series… The Wild are 3-for-18 on the power play and a perfect 13-for-13 on the penalty kill.
